Convergent Minds, LLC was formed in December, 2003, but the company has a rich heritage the precedes the formation of the company. The company's founder has 26 years experience in the IT industry, including wireless application development, enterprise web development, and business consulting. It was this experience, joined with a love for technology and convergence that led to the introduction of Convergent Minds.

The history and lineage of the company include the founder's first website community, pdaPhoneHome.com; and two other web communities focused on the same interest area - SmartphoneForums.com (Samsung pdaphones) and SmartphoneSource.com (Kyocera pdaphones). During 2003, pdaPhoneHome.com acquired and merged with both of these forum communities to create the largest device independent community for technology convergence enthusiasts. The site offers discussion, news, reviews, and a large database of FAQs. The experience of these communities spans back to 2001.

The experience base of these sites involved convergence - of technology with phones and PDAs; and of minds through community building. Convergents Minds now seeks to build on that experience throught ongoing development and expansion. The company will continue to expand the community sites into "one stop shops" for their members. This experience will also be leveraged to help others bring minds together through community building - through forums, blogs, and other internet based mediums.
